Festive Fudge
This recipe comes from Eagle Brand® (so you just know that it must contain a canned milk product). This recipe is pretty easy and fool-proof.
- 3 cups (18 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- One 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk (not the same as evaporated milk)
- dash salt
- 1½ tsps. vanilla extract
- ½ to 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Line a small (8 or 9 inch) baking dish with waxed paper. Melt chocolate chips with milk and salt in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in other ingredient(s). Spread evenly into waxed paper-lined dish. Chill at least two hours in the refrigerator.
Turn fudge over on cutting board; peel off paper and cut into squares.
