Morning Prayers

Glory to You, our God! Glory to You!

O Heavenly King, the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth; everywhere present and filling all things. Treasury of blessings and Giver of Life. Come and abide in us, and cleanse us from every impurity, and save our souls, O Good One.

Holy God! Holy Mighty! Holy Immortal! Have mercy on us! (3×)

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

O most holy Trinity, have mercy on us. Lord, cleanse us from our sins. Master, pardon our transgressions. Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities for Your name's sake.

Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory: of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Come, let us worship God, our King! Come, let us worship and fall down before Christ, our King and our God! Come, let us worship and fall down before Christ Himself, our King and our God!

I praise You, I hymn You, I bless You, I give thanks to You, O God; that You have brought me in safety through the night that is past and have shown me once again the light of day. I entreat of Your goodness: Be gracious to me, a sinner, and receive my prayer in Your great tenderness. For I flee to You, the merciful and almighty God. Illumine my heart with the true Sun of Your Righteousness; enlighten my mind and guard all of my senses, that walking uprightly as a child of the light and of the day in the way of Your commandments, I may attain to life eternal. Look upon those whom I remember in prayer at this time and grant them all good things that lead to salvation; especially I raise up the names of ______ (the living). I also bring to remembrance those who have departed this life before me in the hope of the resurrection and eternal life; especially I remember ______ (the departed) and I pray that they may be granted the joy of everlasting life in Your Kingdom. For with You is the fountain of life, and in Your light we shall see light. You are our God, and to You we ascribe glory: to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

As I prepare for sleep, O Master, grant rest to my body and soul. Keep me from the dark sleep of sin and from every dark and passionate temptation of the night. Still the impulses of impure desires and extinguish the flaming arrows which the Evil One directs deceitfully against me. Overcome the rebellions of the flesh and put to sleep my worldly and material anxieties. O God, grant me an alert mind, pure thoughts, a sober heart, and a peaceful sleep; free from every thought or dream that would lead me into temptation. Raise me up in the morning, that I may offer to You a prayer of thanksgiving and be confirmed in Your commandments. May the memory of Your judgments be firmly established within me. Grant that I may glorify You throughout this night. That I may sing, bless and glorify Your most honorable and majestic name: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

{prayers may be offered for the living and the departed}

Prayer Before Meals

The poor shall eat and be satisfied, and those who seek the Lord shall praise Him; their hearts shall live forever!

Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.

O Christ our God, bless the food and drink of Your servants, for You are holy always, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer After Meals

We thank You, O Christ our God, for You have satisfied us with Your earthly blessings and gifts. Do not deprive us also of Your Heavenly Kingdom, but as You came into the midst of Your disciples and gave them peace, so come to us and save us, O Savior!

Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.

God is with us through His grace and love for us, always now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
